ICT
We have recently made large investments in this area. This has comprised of complete refurbishment of two of our dedicated computer rooms including brand new computer equipment.
ICT is taught across all years as a compulsory subject. The department aims to equip all pupils with the skills and understanding to use ICT effectively and with the capabilities required in the outside world
One of the ICT rooms (Room 6) is always available after school for homework, coursework. On Wednesday after school there is computer club where pupils can learn to create computer games or play around with some of the more fun software we have on site.
We take the safety of our pupils very seriously especially when they are on the internet. We have electronic means of trying to stop pupils gaining access to non-suitable sites and have a series of sanctions in place if pupils do try to by-pass our security systems. All parents and pupils have to sign an agreement on use of computer systems when they come to the school.
