Artist in Residence at NCHS
Local artist Ruth Allen joined us for a day in June to work with Gifted and Talented pupils in Art.
Sixteen pupils from year 8, 9 and 10 worked with her and department staff to produce a range of monoprinted and collage images based on the school buildings and grounds.
Pupils used images of the buildings to make monoprints then enhanced them with collage, pattern, textiles and buttons.
Every pupil produced 2 or 3 images which were combined to make a larger piece.
The pupils worked hard and produced 2 canvas pieces to display in the main reception.
