Technology & Vocational Education
The technology and vocational education department comprises of three subject areas which include Resistant Materials, Food technology and textiles. Each subject is delivered wherever possible by specialist teachers. We help students of all types and abilities to experience success and fulfilment in this field. Students are given the opportunity to use a wide range of materials and processes in order to develop their own design solutions. We encourage them to be creative thinkers with forward looking ideas. They are actively encouraged to feel proud of their own achievements and to give praise where it is due. Assessment, recording, monitoring and reporting ensures consistency and accuracy within the department.
Pupils at KS4 can choose from a wide range of courses (GCSE and vocational): Food Technology, Product Design, Health and Social Care, Child Development, Construction, Engineering And Prince’s Trust.
